Refund Policy

Important: Trend India provides custom digital services including website design, software development, and mobile app development. Our services are project-based and involve significant time, resources, and expertise. Please read this refund policy carefully before engaging our services.

1. Service-Based Nature

Trend India offers custom digital solutions that are tailored to each client's specific requirements. Unlike product-based businesses, our services involve:

  • Custom design and development work
  • Significant time investment from our team
  • Use of proprietary tools and technologies
  • Project planning and management resources
  • Intellectual property creation

Once work has commenced on your project, we allocate resources specifically for your project, which prevents us from offering those resources to other clients.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered under the following specific circumstances:

2.1 Project Cancellation Before Commencement

If a project is cancelled by Trend India before any work has commenced, a full refund of any advance payment will be issued within 14 business days.

2.2 Mutual Agreement

If both parties mutually agree to terminate the project before significant work has been completed (typically within the first 7 days of the project timeline), a partial refund may be issued based on the work completed up to that point.

2.3 Non-Performance

In cases of clear non-performance as specifically outlined in the service agreement, after a formal written notice and a 15-day cure period, a refund may be considered for the uncompleted portion of the project.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following situations:

3.1 After Project Commencement

Once project work has commenced and significant resources have been allocated, no refunds will be provided. This includes:

  • After design concepts have been presented and reviewed
  • After development work has begun
  • After any milestone has been achieved and approved

3.2 Change of Requirements

If the client changes their requirements or project scope after work has begun, no refund will be provided for work already completed based on the original requirements.

3.3 Completed Work

For work that has been completed, delivered, and accepted by the client, no refunds will be provided.

3.4 Third-Party Costs

Any third-party costs or expenses incurred during the project (domain registration, hosting, premium plugins, APIs, etc.) are non-refundable.

3.5 Delayed Feedback or Response

If project delays are caused by the client's delayed feedback, responses, or provision of required materials, no refund will be provided.

3.6 Dissatisfaction with Final Product

If the client is dissatisfied with the final product but all agreed-upon requirements have been met as per the service agreement, no refund will be provided. We include multiple review stages in our process to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.

Important Note on Service Nature

Digital services like website design and software development are creative and technical services. Differences in subjective opinion about design aesthetics or minor feature preferences do not constitute grounds for a refund, provided we have delivered the agreed-upon functionality and design as per the project specifications.

4. Refund Process

4.1 Refund Request

To request a refund, please contact us at billing@trendindia.com with the following information:

  • Your project reference number
  • Reason for refund request
  • Supporting documentation if applicable

4.2 Review Period

We will review your request and respond within 7-10 business days. The review process includes:

  • Examination of project status and completed work
  • Review of communication history
  • Assessment against the terms of the service agreement

4.3 Refund Approval and Processing

If your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval
  • Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment
  • Bank processing fees may be deducted from the refund amount
  • You will receive email confirmation once the refund has been processed

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Client-Initiated Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a project after work has commenced:

  • You must provide written notice to your project manager
  • You will be billed for all work completed up to the cancellation date
  • Any advance payment exceeding the completed work value will be refunded (minus any third-party costs)
  • All project materials and work completed become the property of Trend India

5.2 Company-Initiated Cancellation

Trend India reserves the right to cancel a project under exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Non-payment of invoices
  • Violation of terms of service
  • Abusive or unprofessional behavior
  • Legal or compliance issues

In such cases, a prorated refund will be issued for any uncompleted work.

6. Dispute Resolution

In case of any disputes regarding our services or refunds:

6.1 Direct Communication

We encourage clients to first contact their project manager directly to resolve any issues. Most concerns can be resolved through open communication.

6.2 Escalation Process

If issues cannot be resolved with the project manager, they can be escalated to:

  1. Department Head
  2. Customer Relations Manager
  3. Company Director

6.3 Mediation

If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached through direct communication, we may suggest mediation by a neutral third party before considering any formal dispute resolution procedures.

7. Maintenance and Support Services

For ongoing maintenance and support services:

7.1 Monthly/Annual Plans

Monthly or annual maintenance plans can be cancelled with 30 days written notice. Refunds for prepaid periods will be prorated based on the unused portion of the service period.

7.2 One-Time Support

One-time support services are non-refundable once the service has been rendered.

8. Modifications to Refund Policy

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. For existing projects, the refund policy in effect at the time of project commencement will apply.
